 7/365 Thank You for the Mess Cleaners...


1:12am, I was eating my lunch (as we call it for night shift duty personnel). While I was eating, a mess cleaner is mopping the floor. She looked a little sad. I asked her "How are you? She wondered a little bit about my question. I told her, I was only asking if she is OK. She told me yes she is OK but she told me she is sick, sick of malaria. This lady cleaner, I forgot her name, is a cleaner I joke with sometimes, telling her that she is becoming fat. She told me she is becoming thin now because she is sick. Even if she is sick, she is doing her job as best as she can.

Once in a while, I had this small conversation with our mess cleaners. The small chat I had with them also brings me a way to pass time specially while I am eating in our mess. These people, the mess cleaners, or people we can call as servants, are blessings also to us. They accept dirty/cleaning jobs  that we, honestly speaking, do not want to do by ourselves. They give their service to us in cleaning the surroundings and also sharing their time in small chats.

I sat on the front table nearest to the television. A coworker came from behind to take also his breakfast. He was our drummer, a member also of our company band. He sat on the back table near the food station. I joined him in his table. From nothing, we suddenly talked about reggae. As we were chatting about reggae, my manager also came to take also his breakfast. My manager, the singer of the band, also a music lover, also talked about reggae. I enjoyed the small chat about music, one of my passions. This simple and short time to chat, I consider also as a blessing. It brought happiness to me in a short time to talk about a passion I love.

 27/365 Thank You For A Healthy Heart Thank you for a healthy heart. Biologically, my heart is at a perfect state to pump blood all around my body keeping me alive and active. With the intricate design of my heart created in the hands of God I can live daily a normal life.
